What is Bodywork Anyway?

Bodywork is any technique that involves touching, moving or manipulation of the body, and forms of energy medicine. Some examples of this would be; Cranial Sacral Unwinding, Polarity Therapy, Reiki, Watsu, Shiatsu, Tui Na, and Therapeutic Massage.

Bodywork is best received in a sacred space created by your therapist. This space is usually used repeatedly for this type of work and is furnished in a way that promotes relaxation. With lower lighting, scents that are either agreed on by client and therapist or non-existing. A comfortable temperature is set and a fan or blankets can help to assist in finding this balance. There are boundaries, trust, and honor in place to support what ever may come up spiritually, mentally, emotionally, energetically and physically for the client.

The place I feel most connected to my purpose in this world is while holding space for my clients in silence so that their bodies can find healing.
